About Lithium for America (LiFA)

Our work is guided by the following core principles:

1. Giving the U.S. Lithium Industry a Voice

LiFA represents the upstream and midstream segments of the U.S. lithium value chain. We work with producers, refiners, project developers, universities, technology companies, and other stakeholders to ensure the industry’s challenges and fundamental importance are clearly heard and understood.

2. A Truly National Organization

LiFA champions lithium projects, companies, and partners across the entire United States. Our focus is on strengthening the domestic lithium supply chain wherever production, refining, and innovation take place.

3. Collaborative by Design

LiFA’s agenda is shaped by its members and partners. Through continuous dialogue with lithium industry players, we set priorities together and address the issues that matter most for the growth of the sector.

4. Mission-Driven and Nonprofit

LiFA is a non-profit organization. Neither the organization nor its management profits from its activities. Our sole mission is to advance the U.S. Lithium industry.

5. Neutral and Independent

LiFA does not provide investment advice, endorse individual projects, or “pick winners and losers.” Our goal is to create a thriving, balanced industry where many solutions can succeed.

6. Inspiring and Supporting Industry Growth

LiFA is committed to advancing the development of a strong U.S.-based Lithium industry. Our work is driven by purpose, not profit — we exist to inspire collaboration, share knowledge, and support initiatives that strengthen the domestic lithium supply chain.
